Hootsuite charges per user, and it shows only yearly prices: Standard is $99 a month per user, Professional $199 and Advanced $399, each "based on annual billing", plus a custom Enterprise plan. There is no free plan and a 14-day free trial. Standard covers 10 social accounts; Professional and Advanced cover unlimited accounts. Because the price is per person, a team pays several times the sticker price, and a team of three on Professional pays $597 a month. This page lists the tiers, what changes between them and what the cost looks like for one, three and five people.
Hootsuite plans at a glance
| Plan | Price per user, per month | Social accounts | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $99 | 10 | Unlimited scheduled posts |

| Advanced | $399 | Unlimited | Review and approve content with your team |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Request a demo |
The prices are in dollars, "based on annual billing" and excluding tax. The page prints no monthly-billing price and no free plan. Standard, Professional and Advanced start with a 14-day free trial, during which an organisation is capped at 10 to 20 posts a day and has no bulk scheduling.
What Hootsuite costs for one, three and five people
The page prices per user, so these totals are the per-user price times the number of people. Extra people cost the per-user price each.
| People | Standard | Professional | Advanced |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $99 | $199 | $399 |
| 3 | $297 | $597 | $1,197 |
| 5 | $495 | $995 | $1,995 |
Standard stops at 10 social accounts. A studio with 20 accounts therefore needs Professional, and with three people that is $597 a month. Approvals are named only on Advanced, at $399 per user.
What is and is not in the price
- Accounts. 10 on Standard, unlimited above. The page prints no per-account price.
- Approvals. Named on Advanced. A client who only approves still has to be a user in that model.
- Analytics and AI. The plan page prints no analytics history or AI credit figure, so none is quoted here.
- Billing. Yearly only is shown. Monthly billing exists in Hootsuite's checkout at a higher price; the plans page does not show it.
Who Hootsuite fits
A brand with a social media team, listening, a shared inbox and enterprise permissions gets what it pays for. For a freelancer, a studio or a small agency, the per-user price is the issue: the sticker is $99, but a team of three pays three times that, and approvals are in the $399 tier.
Preflight prices by channel, not by person: $13 for eight channels, $24 for twenty with three users, $64 for sixty with ten, and free for three, with approvals by link on every plan. Hootsuite is the stronger choice for listening and a team inbox; the full side by side is in Preflight against Hootsuite, and the field at eight channels is on Hootsuite alternatives. Plans are on the pricing page.
Prices read from hootsuite.com/plans on 31 October 2026: dollars, per user, based on annual billing, excluding tax. Totals are the per-user price times the number of people. Preflight's from its plan table the same day.
